Hurry up Daddy!

Today is Mother's Day and for all the moms reading this, mine included, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

The kids are getting anxious for daddy's homecoming. I'm just looking forward to getting a break and some help. For those who don't know, I cancelled my Rhode Island trip due to sheer exhaustion and did not attend the spouse's course at Command Leadership School. It worked out to be a good decision as Sarah and I both got really sick that week. It has taken awhile to recover and get my energy back. Thank goodness mom and Bob came out and picked up the slack for us.

We are spending a day doing chores together with the kids doing the bulk of the chores with my guidance. It's really turning out to be a fun day. Sarah and Caitlyn have vacuumed the entire downstairs and are working on the upstairs. Tyler is working on a big school project and therefore getting out of most of the household chores!

We are realizing that it is now less than 30 days to the Change of Command. Still hard to believe how this Navy career has led us down so many paths of opportunity.

So hurry up Daddy. Mr. Jones made his cross-country trip (many years ago!) in 3 days as Mrs. Jones was due to pop a baby out at any minute. He said to tell you to hurry up as well.

love,

your family
