Hard to believe it's time to pack up and move on again. One of the hardest moves yet as most of our family lives nearby. We are starting to change addresses and set up things in Washington. Preparing the Severn house for our renters. Making appts. to have the carpets cleaned, windows washed, etc.
We have made the most extraordinary friends. Chad, Michelle, Gavin and Landon will always hold a special place in our lives and in our hearts. Our two families have blended right into each other for the past three and a half years. We shared in Michelle's entire pregnancy with Landon and have loved every second of watching these two amazing boys grow up. Sharon and Michelle are practically joined at the hip and this will truly be a difficult good-bye. We hope to see them in Washington for the Change of Command.
Then there is the "river of tears" running from our house 5 doors down to David and Melissa's. Their two girls and our two girls are also joined at the hip and we are struggling to find a way to make this seperation easier for them. We hope that Meghan and Katie are able to visit us in Washington this summer. We know this family came into our lives and hearts for a reason and we will be forever grateful for the incredible friendship we have shared for the past year and a half.
We have one final sleepover scheduled with Melody. We thought we heard the word "definitely" come out of Nurdan's mouth when discussing a summer visit! The girls have enjoyed alternating weekends once a month for the past two years. We just don't know where the time went. We will cherish Melody like another daughter forever and look forward to watching her continue to grow into a beautiful young lady.
Our family: it's been great fun. Looking forward to visits in the Pacific Northwest again. We have cherished all the moments with family, especially the great-grandparents. Harry & Jan, we are grateful that the children have had this amazing opportunity to spend time with their great-grandparents. There are not many kids who have this luxury. Tyler, Caitlyn & Sarah are old enough that they will always remember you and the times they have shared with you. You have always been there for us when we needed you. Thank you. The grandparents have always made plenty of visits to see us but it's been great having sleepovers with Nana and summers at the lake with Grandma & Grandpa. We have especially enjoyed Bob coming into our lives when he married Nana last year. We have had countless good times with Nana and Bob. Aunt Sharon & Uncle Bob, thank you for all the love and care you have given the children. Summer camp last year and all the time and effort spent with Tyler and sailing. Katie is taking this move hard but she knows we will always be there for her no matter what. See you in June!
For everyone waiting for us: we can't wait to see all of you again!
For everyone who is reading this and touched our lives in some way during our time in Maryland, we thank you all for your friendship and the memories you helped us create. We will miss you. Love you all.

Hi Guys, I just found your blog and love it. Looks like you are having a blast. I love the picture of Montana with her head on Bill's shoulder. The mightly Mississippi wasn't muddy? The windmills went on forever and the leaning water tower of piza was lovely. Have you seen any wildlife? Have fun with your friends in Arizona. Love, Aunt Sharon
